A while back we gave you a peak at our entryway (foyer if your fancy!) and the initial transformation it got last year. Check it out here.
We felt it was time to add a little more pizazz to our welcome area (and I'm sure in the future we will add/change more -- that's the beauty of home improvements!). Our first project was the best kind of project -- a FREE one. We took this little stand/table/whatever-thingy and gave it a new look.
BEFORE:
This was one of the first pieces of furniture I ever bought when I first moved out of my parent's house (our current hand-me-down) and out on my own. I got it for $10.00 and my hubby (back then the boyfriend) put it together for me. I would have never imagined changing and painting this little table back then, but since I've started blogging and being inspired by all the great crafters out there, I couldn't imagine NOT changing it.
AFTER:
Brighter, cleaner, and definitely lightened up! I'm in L-O-V-E with the finished product! The hardware got painted black, the base is semi-gloss white and the top got a lovely coat of rich stain and varnish. Ahhhhh -- gotta love a good (and free!) makeover.
Linking up to the DIY Showoff & CSI Project today:
I LOVE the dark, stained top! I am in the midwest, too - central Iowa!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I love the handles! Great Job!
ReplyDeleteWow it looks like a completely different piece now.
ReplyDeleteYou did an amazing job with this! I love the two tone look and the "new" handles make a huge difference. Great work!
ReplyDeleteAmanda! You and I are on SUCH the same page, yet again! :) Wait until you see my next post today. This little table would go so well with it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great transformation! I love the contrast of the wood and the white.
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference. It looks so crisp and white.
ReplyDeleteI love white. :)
