The final part of our entryway spruce up involved ...... PAINT. I'm going to guess that most home improvements involve paint at some point, so this is no surprise, right!?!
This room was originally stark white (sorry not many pictures of that!). We then painted it a warm-almond-off-white color (which I'm in LOVE with!). We then littered the wall with a collage of black photo frames. It was a very black and white space. Well we thought it was time to add some color to the B&W room, but we didn't want to add too much and take away from our black and white effect. Anyways, we definitely needed something.
So here we are before the hand me down was handed down - except our new flooring:
Here we are at our interim stage with the off-white and new flooring -- you saw the whole initial transformation here:
Drum Roll Please......And here it is today with a hue of blue splashed on the wall:
Did you spy the new chandelier?
And here's the photo wall before and after:
I'm always amazed what a small amount of paint can do -- cost for this project? $12.00ish for the paint (which we have plenty of left over!)
I'm thinking we might try some molding around the blue square .... thoughts or opinions, anyone??
Just one final peak:
What a beautiful, welcoming entry you have created. I love the white square behind the frames. It all just really works together. Love it. Thank you for visiting junkblossoms. Hope you'll come back soon.

ReplyDeleteLooks great! I LOVE your frame wall. Sometimes people can kinda mess that up and it doesn't look right, but you designed it to it looks very balanced. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteI think the molding is a GREAT idea! I love the frame wall!
ReplyDeleteI love what you have done! Molding around the square would be a wonderful "professional" touch...but either way I think it looks great.
